Equity & Inclusion for Middle School

The Equity & Inclusion course is a deeply transformative course that engages students in thoughtful and meaningful reflection. Students will participate in activities both individually and collaboratively, that will help them to understand unconscious bias, privilege and our own sphere of influence. Students will not only consider the intersectionality and impact of equity and inclusion has on people, but will also develop frameworks that can be implemented to create more inclusive environments and enact change both in the short and long term. This program provides the deep thinking and authentic reflection required to build a strong community within classrooms, schools and the greater community whether that is at the beginning of a school term, launching units or taking learning deeper.
